Color Hues Color Challenge #131 - Coral & Green

Hello Crafty Friends!

Sheri here with a new color combination for our next challenge. With Springtime on the horizon I thought it would be fun to work with a bright & cheery color combo of Coral and Green.

I'd also like to welcome Kelly of kellys.craft as our guest designer. She was the winner of Marcia's Purple and Marigold challenge in March.

I hope you have fun creating with this color combo. We look forward to seeing your cards in the gallery!

Hello Crafters! Nancy here!

Many thanks to those who shared your creativity with us over the last two weeks! There was such a wonderful array of cards using Fuchsia and Navy in our gallery. I wish I could select all of you as my winners, but that is not possible. My list of possibilities was so long, so I phoned a friend and asked hubby to help me narrow it down. Have I told you lately that I don't enjoy hosting for this exact reason?

What I also love most about this challenge is seeing the many different ways the colors get used. Thanks so much for taking the time to play along; it really means the world to all of us here at CH!

Color Hues #130-Fuchsia and Navy

Hello Friends,

Nancy here, and I am so happy to be your hostess for this April 1st challenge. I don't have any funny pranks to pull on you today, but I guarantee my hubby will give it a try, but I am ready for it. 😆 When he was teaching art, he always pulled pranks on the kids, and they loved his sense of humor.

Before I get to the fabulous cards by the Design Team using the colors of Fuchsia and Navy, I want to do a very friendly reminder. When you are creating for Color Hues, unfortunately, the color Green is NOT one of our Acceptable Neutrals.

We know that when creating with florals, it is natural to want to add green into your design, but the entire point of our color challenge is to think outside the box and stretch the imagination.

There is a list of our neutrals on our blog under Guidelines, but I am going to list them here as well, as a reminder.

Our Neutrals are: (white, black, grey, kraft, brown, cream, and metallics.) Please remember that these are accent colors and must not be the focal colors of your design.

Now that I got that out of the way, let's go see what my talented Design Team did with this color combo!

Color Hues #129 Purple and Marigold

Hello friends. Marcia here, and it's only a few more days till it's officially SPRING and I am so ready for it!! Some of the first color that shows up for us here in Michigan are the Crocus and the few that I have in my front yard are Purple and Marigold (a deep yellow). For the next two weeks, let's celebrate Spring and fill the gallery with lots of bright color! We deserve it after a loooooong Winter! Remember to only use PURPLE & MARIGOLD and neutrals on your cards. And don't stress about your colors...hues of each color are acceptable. The DT and our Special GD Chris have all outdone themselves with some fabulous inspiration that we hope will inspire you all to play along! Have fun!!
